The Way To Play Traditional American Darts

At first you may imagine throwing Widdy Darts at a paper target hanging in front of a cork board or something like that but it’s not that way. There is actually a high-tech way to make these boards so they’ll last a long time and the Widdy Dart Boards that are made of paper are supposed to last twice as long as traditional dart boards.

Basically the paper that the dartboard is made of is wound very tight so that when Widdy Darts or any dart for that matter enters it they simply slide between the tightly wound layers of paper and in doing so won’t damage the board as much. But the true secret is in taking the darts out, you need to twist and pull. Of course whether you’re using a Widdy Paper Dart Board or a Widdy Wooden Dart Board it’s best to have sharp darts as to not tear apart the boards when pulling the darts out. Also they’re double sided so you can get twice as much game play out of them. Also one of the coolest things is that you can rotate the inner target. That way your board can wear evenly.

And why would Widdy Dartboards wear unevenly?

It’s because American Darts is based on the game of baseball hence some innings will be thrown at more than others which means various parts of the board will be thrown at more than others. So you simply rotate or pop out your center piece, rotate it so that the areas that have a lot of game play left in them are now located at the most thrown at areas of the Widdy Board. Pretty Cool!

Wooden Widdy Dartboard

The wooden Widdy Dart Boards are made of basswood and put together by hand, that alone makes them great. Also they still have that “Traditional” look and feel to them and they’d look great in a home game room!

And as well as the paper dart boards they also have an inner target circle that rotates to give the dart board a longer life and you can flip them over too.

So when it comes to playing American Darts you must look into buying a Widdy Dart Board. They’re definitely special and they’ve been around since the 1920s so that tells you they’re doing something very right!

In my opinion, when you combine Widdy Dart Boards with Widdy Darts you’re playing a True American Classic Dart Game they way darts is supposed to be played.
