Show Your Team Colors In Paint

by Raymond
(Wisconsin)

I've seen a great idea recently while shopping at Home Depot and wanted to share it with all the professional and college sports fans out there. If you're thinking of painting your game room or bedroom with your favorite team's colors you need to take a look at Home Depot and Glidden Paint.

Glidden paint has a line of professional and college team paint colors. They make it very easy to find your favorite team's color and paint it on your walls. There are various sports represented too. Of course they have all the major university colors and for professional sports teams Glidden has colors for the NFL, NHL, NASCAR, Soccer (MLS and Mexico) and the U.S. Olympic Team.

I personally have yet to paint my game room and was looking for some ideas when I came across the "Team Colors" by Glidden. I'm a big University of Michigan fan and Green Bay Packers fan so I'm trying to choose between them. Blue and Yellow or Green and Yellow?

I've decided how I'll paint the room though if I go with the Packers colors. I'm taking the design style of their football helmet and using it as my wall colors. I'll take white stripe down the middle of the helmet surrounded by the two green stripes and paint that around the whole room in the middle of the wall as it's on the middle of the helmet. Then I'd paint the yellow colors above and below the green stripes. Now I am thinking of pushing the white and green stripes up to eye level instead of in the middle of the wall. By doing that I'll use the fat white stripe as a staging/background for hanging packer signs, photos and other cool stuff.

That is my game room / bedroom theme painting idea.
