Learn to Make it Simple and Sweet!
The very first way to paint your walls is also the simplest way and that’s in a solid wall color. Don’t sit there and think it’ll look boring because it won’t. Once you have your New York Mets Decor on the walls it’ll look great. So the best colors to use are usually the light colors and in the Mets case it would be white, orange or blue. The best being white because it keeps the room bright and makes the room look larger than it is. Plus the orange, blue and black Mets Memorabilia will look good with a solid white background. You could go with blue or orange but it may be a little too much on the eyes. An idea would be to make an accent wall or two of solid blue or orange, that would set off the white walls. Also large full size posters and fat heads look really good on solid walls, they pop out.
Something a little more aggressive would be a two-toned wall color scheme. And these are great also and don’t require that much more work to paint them. There are a few ways you can go about this. The first being to paint the top 1 to 2 feet down from the ceiling your dark team color or colors, that would be black, blue and orange. Use one or various depending on the look you want. The rest of the walls would be white. The other option would be to go with the traditional 36 inches up from the floor your dark color and the top white to again keep the room bright and looking large. If you want you could even use chair rail or baseball wallpaper border where the two colors meet. That is always neat.
Then when all the painting is done and you have a blank slate to work with you can start to add your New York Mets Theme Accessories, Supplies and Decorations. Like New York Mets Neon Signs and Clocks, Autographed Baseballs and Jerseys, Banners, Flags, Bobble Heads, Pennants and all the other cool Memorabilia you’ve been collecting for years. Add them all and spice up your room.
One important thing to remember though, is to make sure you frame your posters and pictures and other items that are similar like autographs. It’ll really make your room look better, well organized and most of all keep them safe during all your get-togethers. So have fun, create a New York Mets Theme that all will envy but most of all create a room that you’ll love hanging out in all year long.
