It's Important To Choose A Flooring That Is Easy Maintenance! In your Vegas Theme Room you probably have a game table or two including a nice poker table for when you host poker night for friends and family. Surely throughout the evening drinks are spilled and food is dropped. So it's always wise to be prepared and in this case an easy to care for flooring will keep you prepared for any unforeseen accidents. Not only do you want the flooring to be easy maintenance but also it has to be durable with chairs moving in and out all the time. This is where your creativity must come in. You need to design a flooring that looks great and handles messes equally.
Floor Tiling
Floor Tiling is an obvious choice for many and for good reason. It does just about everything for a home game room including adding style and fun. Tiling is easy to care for and not to hard to lie down by your self and replace when one gets damaged. Not only that but you can choose two great colors to make up a checkerboard flooring design that will be amazing. The two colors you choose for your Las Vegas Theme Room Flooring really depends on the look and feel of your room itself. Are you going with a certain color scheme? Are you trying to replicate a casino you visited the last time you visited Vegas? Or are you just looking for something that stands out and adds flavor to your room? You must decide this first! Your choices for tiling aren't limited either, there are various types to choose from. For example: ceramic tiling, cork tiling, vinyl tiling, resilient tiling, rubber tiling and some others. You can find more information on the different types of floor tiles on our floors and walls page.
Laminate Flooring
A flooring that is resistant to scratches, burns, chipping, dents and more, Laminate Flooring would be a great choice also. The fact that it's also not too hard to install and replace makes it another obvious choice for your Las Vegas Theme Room Flooring. The thing with laminate flooring is that there is a wide assortment of designs. And in a casino style theme room a fun and stylish flooring pattern would be exactly what the room calls for. There are so many different patterns that you may spend a lot of time coming up with exactly the right one that fits your rooms look and feel.
Hardwood FlooringGoing with Hardwood Flooring may not be the best idea for a home game room. Then again it really depends if your game room is on a basement level or ground level or above. If you're going for a vintage Las Vegas Theme Room look then hardwood may just be for you. If you're worried that it won't match your walls don’t worry too much as most hardwoods can be stained to match the look and feel you want. One thing to be mindful of is the hardness of the wood itself. Some woods are harder than others and that is especially important in a home game room. Assuming you'll have a billiard table or shuffleboard table and a poker table with chairs you're looking at a lot of table legs that will move around causing scratches and dents in your nice hardwood floor. Some types of hardwood floors include oak, maple, cherry, hickory, pecan, pine, beech and walnut.
CarpetingHmm Carpeting as your Las Vegas Theme Room Flooring? Yep it'll work. Hey it works in the casinos. Yes carpeting is a great idea but it needs to be the right carpeting. No getting fancy with long/shaggy carpeting that is just a disaster waiting to happen. You need a carpet that is made for foot traffic and is stain resistant. This is where Berber carpeting comes in. It's one type of carpet that would work well in a high traffic game room. It's wound tightly and holds its great looks for years especially if it's steam cleaned after your parties. And you don't need an expensive carpet cleaner either, one found at your local hardware/department store should do the trick. Carpet Tiles are also an option. Although they don't seem as popular as they were about 30 years ago they're still useful. You can come up with a checkered design and they're easy to put down and replace. If you don't want a total wall-to-wall floor then area rugs will do the trick. You can choose ones that are cut into shapes of buildings or animals or whatever you really want depending on your theme. These work especially well in a basement game room where you'll have a concrete floor. And remember you can paint your concrete floor to match your look and feel also.
Be Creative & Bring A Bit Of Vegas To Your FloorsMake your Las Vegas Theme Room Flooring fun! Come up with a one of a kind flooring scheme and stick to it. It's your home and game rooms are about fun so in this room it's ok to get a little more creative than you would in a kitchen or bathroom.
