Let's start with the obvious way to paint your Hockey Theme Room. That is to use your favorite team's color scheme. Of course there are many different ways for you to go about this but one of the best ways is to use a two-tone painting scheme.

Just like a two-toned car you'll want the top third or trim one color, preferably the darker color and the bottom two thirds the teams lighter color. Using the team's white jerseys is always a good idea because a two-thirds white room helps all your hockey stuff to stick out instead of being hiding by dark painted walls. And you could use the white potion of your wall for a home theater movie projector if you have one or now you could get one for Hockey Night.

Also with the white walls you can paint murals or stencils of life size hockey players, sticks, pucks, nets or whatever onto the walls itself and it'll look great. Don't shy away from adding your own personal touches with stencils, they're fairly easy to do and they look great!

If you're not into the whole team thing or if you have more than one favorite team a great idea is to choose a neutral hockey color to paint your room. What I mean by that is use a color other than a team like something you'd find at a hockey rink. For example use a red, white and blue painting scheme that represents the rink. Or maybe use the NHL symbol colors? Just look around the stadium and at all your hockey stuff and you'll find more than one GREAT IDEA!
