Everyone is entitled to their opinion and not adding a TV to your game room is OK. But I believe that the addition of a Game Room TV will enhance the overall fun in a variety of ways. There are a lot more Great Reasons for adding a TV to a family rec room I've just named 4 of the top ones! And it doesn't matter the type of TV too. Whether it be an HDTV, Projector TV or Tube TV there is almost always enough space to add a TV. Where Will The TV Go?
That is probably the number two question asked by individuals after they decide they want to add a TV. It should be the first question though. But the first question is almost always "Which TV Should I Get?" You need to think about where the TV will go first as that will dictate the size and type of TV you can fit into your room. For example is it better to have a wall/ceiling mounted TV, a floor TV or a projector TV. Projector TVs are the coolest by far but you'll need a Projection Screen or flat white wall to project the image onto. Of course there are draw backs as bulbs only last for a specific period of time before you'll have to buy a new bulb for your projector. Because of that playing video games on a projector TV isn't the best thing to do. On the flip side if you're just using it for game nights they're a great TV choice. They take up very little room, you can usually mount the projector on the ceiling and the projection screen can be ceiling mounted, wall mounted or on a stand or again you could use a flat wall, the clarity isn't bad at all and depending on the available space you can turn your game room into a mini movie theatre.
