Game Room Lights, Poker Table Lights
And Billiard Room Lighting
Yes these are three different rooms or themes but the lighting for the most part is still the same. And the two most popular lights for these areas are the…
16 inch round stained glass hanging light.
40 inch oval stained glass hanging lights.
These two types of hanging lights are the best because they not only light up your playing area whether it be billiards, poker or a general game room area but they also have flair and color to them.
You can get them in your favorite pro or college teams colors, logos and team name. You can find them with your favorite drink’s name on them, like Budweiser, Coca Cola, Corona, Pepsi, Mountain Dew and more. You can also find ones that are company themed like Harley Davidson and many more.
One thing to always keep in mind though is that these game room lights need to be hung from your ceiling of course. And they’re stationary so wherever you place them, above a pool table or poker table means that’s where they’ll stay unless you want to rewire theme somewhere else in the future. Basically make sure you’re 100% positive that your poker table will be in that corner or that your billiard table will be staying where it is before hanging up the swag lamps.
Now There Are Other
Game Room Lights Too!
Depending on how your basement is set up, another popular way to light your room is with recessed lighting. They can make your room appear larger than it is since they’re tucked away in the ceiling. That means you won’t have any large lamps hanging down and getting in the way of games like darts or indoor basketball games and the like. They’re also fun because you can add different colored lights to them giving your room a more fun and lively atmosphere and can always be changed out if you want pure bright light.
And don’t forget the floor lamps and table lamps, they come in handy in those hard to reach places and again there is a large variety of lights that would work as game room lights. Bold and bright colors are usually the best and fit right into most game room themes. That is if you can’t find themed standing floor lamps that fit your overall themed look and feel.
Keep The Shadows Away From The Table!
That’s right! Don’t forget that when playing pool if you don’t have adequate game room lights then shadows appear and make it harder to play and hard on the eyes as well. I go more into that on my Billiard Lighting Page. You can also find more information about game room lights that may suite your needs on my Poker Lighting page too.
No matter which types of lights you choose, adding cool and fun game room lights to the mix in your home game room is a must!
