What Is The Average Size And Weight Of |
||||||||||||||
|
There are a few things to consider when talking about the "Size & Weight" of a pinball machine. Most people just want to know how big it is when sitting in their game room. But there are some size and weight differences because legs can be taken off and tops can be folded down.
As we mentioned above most if not all pinball games have tops that fold down so you can move them more easily from room to room and home to home. Actually the head usually comes right off to make moving the game simpler. By doing this the size and weight will vary from the normal set up size and be a lot lighter in pieces. Plus the legs come off so you can move it through even smaller doorways and hallways.
There are other Wide Body Pinball Machines which require a little more space but that depends on the manufacturer. With the wide body pinball games you're talking a few inches here and there. Also the weight is a little heavier but similar to the average pinball game weight above.

Ask yourself the following questions.
The last question probably relates to every other question on the list. New Pinball Machines run from around $2500 to $10,000. But most of the pinball machines run around the $4000 dollar range.
The cheaper pinball machines are the ones that are used or rebuilt. Those usually run around the $2000 to $5000 dollar range. I'm talking about the modern games now from say the 90s onward.
There are plenty of older games for sale that are even less than a thousand dollars. You can find them at auctions and in local want ads. But again they may have some problems. For example a light doesn't work here or a bumper doesn't work there and stuff like that. Always expect to run into a few problems with older pinball machines.
If you're a person who can fix those small problems then you probably won't worry too much about those small things. But if you're not a big fix it person then going with a more modern game is the best thing to do.
Don't limit yourself to the first pinball game you see at your local gaming or sporting goods store. There is such a large variety to choose from that if you buy one too quickly you'll probably fall in love with a different one a month later and then it's too late.
