Family Party Games
Family party games are a great way to spend quality time and family togetherness. Finding time to spend with your family is always hard to do. And with your busy lives of work and extracurricular activities, there just doesn’t seem to be enough time in the day for family togetherness.
Spending quality time with your family playing board games etc. is an important thing that you need to make time for. Therefore having family gatherings besides holidays, where you can play family party games is a great idea. Or even if you just set aside one or two nights a week, or even one or two hours a day just for your family is a great idea also.
So the question is: How do we pull our kids away from their computer and video games and the phone and text messaging for a family night get together of party games just for the family?
Break Up The Boredom
With Family Party Games!
Most of us work now, so when we get home, we have to cook, clean and make sure kids are ready for the next day. Family game night and family party games are a great way to relax and break up the tedious boredom of our daily routines. Make a new night that is specifically set aside for game night. To make it more fun and interesting, have a different game to play on your game night so it doesn’t get boring. Kids will love this and look forward to game night!
You can even have your friends or your children’s friends over to make it even more entertaining. If your weekdays are too busy for family game time, you can always do it on the weekend. After supper on Friday night, have everyone help with cleanup. Then set up your family party game and have fun. Let everyone choose their favorite seat. Have snacks or finger foods available, or even order Chinese take out or pizza to avoid cooking and cleanup.
How To Choose
The Family Game To Play!
Now, how do you choose the right family party game to play? Here are some ways to make your family game night enjoyable and fair to everyone involved. Consider all your game options, and if there is a game that one family member doesn’t like, even if someone else does, just remove it from your game options to be fair. You can put all the game names on pieces of paper and drop them in a hat. Let a different family member pick one name out of the hat each game night, and that will be the game you play.
You can also put a schedule up on the wall and put each child’s name on each game night for that to be their personal night to choose the game to play. This makes each child feel special, and they will look forward to this night all week. It will get them excited about your family party games and family time also. When it's their night, let them choose the game, set it up, and clean it up. This teaches them responsibility also, and makes them feel more grown up.
Make sure there is no bragging on your family game night. This teaches your children to be poor losers and bad sportsmen; it can also carry on into their school and sporting activities. You can make sure everyone says great game at the end, winner and losers alike. Make sure the winner is congratulated also. You can give the winner a special reward such as, not making them clean up the game alone. Having great family party games and great family game night, is a past time that you should always find time to fit into your schedule.
