Yes there are various styles of tables that claim to be English Pub Tables but what really is an English Style. Well there are two types.

The first being the more modern styled Pub Table that is around 41 inches in height with about a 36 inch diameter for the table top. Usually two pub chairs are perfect for this table height but you can add another if needed. You can find these types of tables in pubs across England and Great Britain / United Kingdom as a whole. When you think about it a “Pub” is an English bar so when you see a pub table and chairs then you know it’s referring to an English look and feel.

The second type of British Style Pub Table is the Antique English Pub Table. These are pretty cool, especially if you can find a weathered or used one. These are rectangular in shape and most come with a draw leaf / drop leaf. What that means is that the table has 2 leafs, one attached to each side and they fold down/ hang on hinges. When you open these two leafs up you have a rather table to site 4 to six people easily.

This type of English Pub Table is nice because of the size and style. Usually made of Solid Oak, they’re very strong and sturdy tables that can handle game room party nights. They can also be used in many other ways from dinner tables to serving tables and more because of their size and strength. These are the sort of tables you’d see in a movie like The Three Musketeers where the town folk are in the pub sitting down at a long table with their pints chatting it up with each other.
