A Cigar Indian Statue or Cigar Store Indian as many call them are fun game room decorations. They’re really an antique from the past but they’re great looking in home game rooms and a nice conversation piece.

Of course they fit into rooms that have a western styled theme or 1950s theme but they are versatile decorations and yes you can still find them today both original and new.

If you’re looking for a “real” vintage Cigar Indian Statue then you will probably pay into the thousands of dollars for one. That’s a pretty penny for a wooden statue. But there are replicas out there that are priced in the hundreds of dollars that would also make great decorations.

Originally they were used as advertisements outside of stores, most of the time outside cigar shops because they represented a product that they store sold inside, cigars of course. Although they’re not so popular to use to advertise cigars or tobacco these days, on occasion you will see a store that has one.

Also there are both male and female cigar Indian statues available. Actually there was a time when female cigar store Indians were more popular than their male counterparts.

When it comes to size you do have a choice. Basically they range in size from about 3 feet to 7 feet tall, although most seem to come in the 5 foot range. And it seems the taller the statue the higher the price, so that is something you may want to take into account before purchasing one.

There are various place on the web to find a cigar Indian statue but two of my favorite of course are Amazon.com and EBAY. Both are great sites to purchase from and especially on EBAY you never know who’ll have one up for sale next, there’s always a bargain to be had there. In anycase they make great decorations for a home game room especially if they’re hand carved. Also they’re great gifts for a cigar aficionado for their office or game room.
