Also white exposed ceilings make smaller basements with low ceilings look bigger and once you have your decorations hanging up you won’t even notice that the ceiling isn’t “finished” in a traditional way. You’ll brighten up your room, have more space and still have access to everything.
A down point may be that noise won’t be muffled for the people above as you won’t have any ceiling insulation or basement ceiling tiles to keep things a little quieter upstairs. With that said, how noisy and how often will you make so much noise in your basement that you MUST have ceiling tiles.
