Air Hockey Game Size And Weight
What You Need To Know Before Purchasing!

The Air Hockey Game Size believe it or not does have a factor in game play. From sturdiness to pucks flying off the table, take size and weight into consideration.

There are some pretty heavy and rather large air hockey table games out there. If we didn’t review this aspect of the game we would be doing you an injustice. Plus how would you know if it would fit into your game room nicely if you didn't know the exact size of the table you want to purchase. So size does play a role.

Weight

The weight of air hockey game tables varies by the overall size of the game. But there are other determining factors also. And one important one is the kind of material it’s made out of.

The weight of a hockey table may concern you for a few reasons.

Must someone move the air hockey table in case cleaning is needed? And if so then who will be doing the moving?

And what about having people over to your home? Will the table have to be moved to the side during get-togethers?

Even though the weight may not be the main factor in your final decision it should be a factor. The game is played the same on every table so a few hundred pounds lighter may just be the way to go.

Let’s look at the weight of various air hockey game tables.

Average Weight

6 foot table = Around 120-200 Pounds.

7 foot table = Around 250-500 Pounds.

8 foot table = Around 300-750 Pounds.

Yes some of the bigger tables can go over the 700-pound mark. So it’s a good idea to think about who’ll move it if you go with a heavy one.

Obviously the longer the table is the heavier it is. Remember the width also plays an important role. Is it a one or two person per side table?

There are some tables that are less than the average weight above. And there are some that are heavier than the averages above. That goes for each category. Those are just the averages.

Size

Basically you’ll find that the air hockey game size for adults will range in length from six to eight feet. If you see something a little shorter then it’s most likely a junior air hockey game table for children.

The width of the air hockey game also comes into play as mentioned above. A wider table can be more fun. That way you can have team competitions. Just remember to ask the question – “Will such a wide and large table really fit into my game room decorating scheme?”

Quick Note: The regulation air hockey playing field is 41 inches by 81 inches.

The average width and height of air hockey game tables.

6 Foot Tables Average Width = 36-42 inches.

7 Foot Tables Average Width = 42-48 inches.
